Replacement ignition switch alternatives?

Dodgy Kips motor? CDI? battery? diode? reg/rect? its all gobbledygook to me but some people understand it ask tham a question here

Hi guys, this is my first post - I've taken on a very scruffy KR1-S (pics to laugh at to follow soon) with a smashed ignition. I could buy a replacement off eBay of ccourse, but Would any know if any other igition barrels from other Kawasakis fit onto the KR1-S?

H,i and welcome to the forum.

You can use the R6-stick coils too.

Welcome.
I think you mean the ignition lock/barrel, they look similar to several other Kwaks of that vintage.
I've seen quite a few Kr1 locks on ebay anyway so you should be able to get one.

interchangeable with a lot off other Kwaks from the nineties :wink:
My ultimate goal is to die young as late as possible !
