no spark
no spark on kr1s, everything has been tested by garage , they say it could be ecu unit if not its the wiring.
has anybody in essex or suffolk area got a ecu i could try to eliminate problem.
or perhaps there is away to bypass all other stuff and wire in coil to magnito to get spark

[quote="KwakOn"]did they take the flywheel off and test the generator?
usually other things cause problems before the CDI, especially the wiring.[/yes flywheel off looked brand new , three yellow wires all got contanuity to each other of which none go to ground , source coil reading 150 ohms as spec sheet ,

did they try bypassing the kill switches?
The other likely suspect is normally the coil. Is there any signal going to the coil at all? Are the crank triggers even working properly?
As for the CDI being suspect, have you ever had this bike running, and if so, before it stopped did it blow a lot of globes and/or the tacho failed? If so, your reg has gone south and taken the CDI etc with it. If not, then it's not so likely, as over-voltage seems to be about the only thing that kills the CDI's in these as far as I know.
If you do change the CDI and find spark, you absolutely MUST check the charge voltage straight away. If when you rev it, it goes above ~14.2v, shut it down imediately and replace the reg or youll cook the new CDI.

sorry men it has 12 wheels and yes it,s a lambretta
my twin brother takes all the credit for building this beast and was left to me when he sadly passed away 2 years ago.
i,m getting to finish the scoot off, it,s been grafted into a 1960 series 2 using the centre of kr1 wheel welded onto some twist and go wheel.
dont know how to post pics on here but if some one directs me i,ll have a go
thanks

back to the problem i had it running up the road last year had to alter gear shift to make that work, sort out back brake , went fine only got to 4th gear having realized it,s not a lamie not really ran out of road
up and down road a few times then it died on me tried to start again,it would start for couple of seconds and die again 4 or 5 times like that and the bike was put in shed until last week
