have read a few previous posts and am having a similar problem
took great running {TACHO WAS NOT WORKING}kr1s for blue slip {bought 2 as package} try to start to go home and no spark, no warnings, no miss fires??? Have swapped cdis but have no idea if second cdi is any good to be honest?
Any ideas to stop the madness??

Came across a similar problem when I brought the remains of a KR1S a while back.
He'd taken it for a run before selling it and noticed the tacho not working, but still ran fine. The next time he tried to start it, he had no spark.
Turned out that the regulator had failed, which meant that it was being seriously overcharged. The first casualty of it running at such high voltage was the tacho, followed shortly by the CDI unit.
I'd recommend you test your regulator before you try running it again, or if you do run it, check the charge rate isn't too high.
