reg/rec

Post by bob64bob »

i am getting a reading of 15 to 18v on the battery when the engine is running, i assume this is a prob with the reg/rec, is it better to buy a new one ?

best is not to run the engine anymore, not even 5 sec, because you can burn the CDI/REV counter very easily.

and yes, you definitly need another one.

got the reg/rec (RR26) today and its physically a lot bigger than standard one, is it the same reg/rec for both kr1 and 1s, i did look on the parts fiche and i am sure its the same part number for both, any way a bit filing here and there and its fitted and seems ok, its now reading between 14.40 and 14.69 volts with motor running.
