Caliper Cleaning

Post by Garry »

if you undo all the bolts in the S front calipers do they come apart so
you can overhaul them/remove pistons?

Yes, they'll split, but it's easier to pump the pistons out than to remove them after (unless you've got a piston remover).

Don't lose the small o rings that seal the two caliper halves together unless you're replacing them.

Dunno if they're any use to you, but I've about 6 caliper halves that I'm going to bin, save you the job of splitting them

while you have em apart... worth checking the seals on the pistons... also, give em a good clean out behind the pistons as I found loads if shite and bits in there
