Brake piston and seal kit(replica)

Post by r1-daz »

You all probably know how much a Genuine Kawasaki brake piston and seal kit costs,(£320 the last time i checked) so i made my own pistons out of 303 stainless steel and got some seals and bleed nipples(only the rear seals are Genuine Kawasaki in the photo).
I also made a spare kit which is surplus to requirements so what do you think its worth?
Tried it on evilbay but they all want something for nothing or its not brake rebuilding time of year !

PS The KR1s 500 i'm building will be running soon so i'll post some photos asap

I was watching these but I have just fitted 'blade calpers to mine instead, 'cos they're much newer they don't need rebuilding. Sorry....

I had some stainless pistons off a bloke on the RD Forum for £6 each and then spent another £60 plus for seals and got some stainless bleed nipples
so i know how much it's all worth

They are worth at least £100 but the grunts on evilbay won't pay that

I would keep them advertised on here

#-o DOH !!!! I just sold them for £52 on evilbay.
Nevermind, ive got plenty of stainless steel at work,i've even made titanium ones in the past, its the seals which are a bummer to get hold of, especially the 24mm rear ones.
