unless you race the bugger just stick to dot 4.....why do you think all manufacturers say use it???

No, it isn't, it's polyethylene glycol based, as DOT 3 and 4. Only DOT 5
is silicone based.

Try MOTUL RBF 600 , very good but a bit exxey .

I've always used Halfords own brand 5dot 1 which is excellent and stands up to loads of abuse, its compatable with dot 3 and 4 and it cheap as well.
