anyone run zxr 250 forks with kr1s calipers, if so what mods need doing?, il be running the kr1s wheel for now, thanks chaps!

ok, if i run the zxr 250 two pot calipers will i loose a lot of braking force or is there not that much in it?, the reason being i got the forks very cheap with a load of other bits i bought , thanks

As a racer I would say yes, the KR-1 calipers are shite, but I don't see an issue for the road

am puttin it on the track, looks like am keepin the kr1s front end, iv rebuilt the forks with new seals, bushes, and hyperpro springs, and the calipers with new seals, so there good to go anyway, thanks for lettin me know.

Best production front end you could use would be an MKII Aprilia RS 250 IMO, or an SP VJ23 or 3XV, but they would be very rare.

i know a friend of mine has a whole rs 250 front end sitting under his work bench gathering dust, might give him a call

Get a quote fro Maxton to revalve the forks. It might turn out cheaper and a lot less effort, in the long run. I had the forks on my NSR done and they are absolutely fantastic.

am doing the ace of aintree this year, first season ever, carnt wait, just want it to handle dont wana finish last in every race if i can help it! lol

maxton is not that far from us, iv just never actually been in there, il go in and speak to them in person, obviously cost is the main concern as its all adding up, iv got loads of pics to put on here of my build, could someone run me through how i put them on again as i got one up ages ago an gave up as i was uploading with a dongle an it takes forever, got broadband now but carnt remember the how to, thanks.

The easiest way to upload pics is

Set up a photobucket account
Upload all your pics there
Either post a link to each pic on photobucket in the thread on the forum thread or
Om photobucket, use the "share links" IMG option (on the right of the image you want to copy) that copies the embedded URL so when you paste that link in the thread on here it brings the image across not just the url

Like I said easy !!!!
