Front wheel spindle.

Post by kr1buzz » Sat Dec 22, 2018 4:40 pm

Guys been building front end up today with kr1s forks and wheel. Tightend up the spindle but can rotate the speedo drive by hand against the two small lugs. Is that normal/ right.? Then of course when you tighten up the pinch bolts the movement goes away. Just would have thought that by fully tighten up the spindle there should be no movement.?? Seems odd to me.

That's exactly how mine was, bit peeved at the time, as I'd just painted the speedo drive. I had a couple of spindles and all the same, just did the the pich bolts up and all good. As you can guess, was just the forks flexing when not being clamped.
