Never knew about that, but seems worth a try. What have you got to lose by trying.

I have some other fork tubes for the Bonny but have pitting
Not so bad though as not in the seal travel range but is just above where the gaitor clamped to the leg in the upper area ,just below the bottom yoke.
Heard of using araldite or super glue,even rubbing metal foil over the area :shock:

Just get them re-chromed (job done)

My forks stanchions need repairing/rechroming, can any of you guys reccomend a company in the UK to do it?

Got my forks done at Philpot in Luton; www.pittedforks.co.uk 01582 571234 they are the best in the uk .

I've used Araldite on pitted fork legs on many occasions and it works surprisingly well. Simply clean and fill the pitted areas and file then sand back when dry to match the forks. Of course it's not a permanent solution but sometimes needs must.. :)
