Re: forking help needed !

ZXR is about 40kg heavier, so unless you are a heavy-weight yourself, you'd probably be better of with softer springs.

Re: Squish clearance and compression ratio - advice please!

ok, just measured a KR1 piston :

crown height is 3mm
gives a radius of 132.17
with 0.8mm squish gives a tangent angle of 12.6°
parallalel squish would be 10.4°

Re: Squish clearance and compression ratio - advice please!

for performance it is better to have parallel squish (and no radius at the edge of the bowl, Jan Thiel has tested this extensivly at Aprilia) . I only put tangent as a possibility as that is what some people want. 17° surely is a lot  from memory mine are amways arroung 10° but it all depends...

Re: Squish clearance and compression ratio - advice please!

sorry Scooble, maybe my figures are wrong . Have to check why, maybe they are from my YZ125 piston's. place the piston you are going to use on it's head, and measure the distance from the floor to the piston crown. In my new calculator, select height and enter the measured height, and it will give y...

Re: KR1S tyres

haven't tried that combo, but have used about anything I had lying arround/available at the time and never had a bike doing "weird stuff". Even radial/diagonal combinations.
